For Adults Who Are Holding It Together (But Barely)

You may be getting through your days, handling your responsibilities, and looking reasonably fine from the outside—while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, or stuck in the same patterns.

Individual therapy gives you a place to stop managing everything for a while and pay attention to what's actually going on. Together, we can look at the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped how you respond to life now and figure out what you want to do differently.

You don't need to be in crisis or have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes knowing that something isn't working the way you want it to anymore is enough.

How We Work

Therapy works best when it feels like a collaborative process rather than something being done to you. We take the time to understand what is happening in your life now while also paying attention to the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may have shaped how you got here.

Our approach is practical, relational, and trauma-informed. Depending on what you need, we may help you examine long-standing patterns, develop different ways of responding to difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, or process experiences from the past that continue to affect you.

We draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches rather than expecting you to fit into one particular method. The work is tailored to you—your goals, your pace, and what actually helps you move forward.

What Can Change

Individual therapy can help you:

  • Understand why the same patterns keep showing up in your relationships, emotions, or reactions.
  • Feel less controlled by anxiety, depression, stress, or overwhelming emotions.
  • Process experiences from the past without feeling like you have to simply “get over it.”
  • Communicate more clearly, set healthier boundaries, and navigate relationships differently.
  • Develop a stronger sense of who you are, what matters to you, and what you want your life to look like.

The goal isn't to become a different person. It's to understand yourself more clearly, have more choices in how you respond, and feel more capable of creating the life and relationships you want.
